I Love My Library: Virtual Fundraiser

Join us for a night of poetry featuring Wisconsin Poet Laureate Karla Huston as our presenter. Ms. Huston will be presenting "A Question of Memory" The evening will include a discussion of memory as a tool for writing and remembering. Ms. Huston will speak to her experiences as Wisconsin Poet Laureate (2017--2018) and her work with elders suffering from forms of dementia. The question of memory--are our memories real? Or inventions? What is the value of memory, and what is lost with those suffering from dementia? Bring paper or your favorite notebook, a pen/pencil to engage in a simple writing exercise that uses your memories as a prompt.
